Atom Deguire lives and works in Toronto, Canada. The artist focuses primarily on investigating art production both within and around the architecture of the urban metropolis. Deguire’s work is influenced by various methods of communication including signage, graphic design, directional indicators, public transportation and safety, mapping, marketing and the media. Deguire has exhibited across Canada and in the United States and Europe, most recently at Truck Contemporary Art, Calgary, with solo exhibitions at the Blackwood Gallery, Mississauga, and YYZ Artists’ Outlet, Toronto.
